RoomTreat

Calculate the acoustic treatment your room needs

Four free calculators for treating small rooms — home studios, podcast booths, home theatres and offices. Enter your room once and get panel count, reverberation time and room modes from a single model. We don't sell panels, so the numbers aren't bent toward buying anything.

Acoustic Panel Calculator Flagship

How many panels do you actually need? Get a count, coverage target, and a placement diagram for your exact room.

RT60 Reverberation Calculator

Per-octave-band reverberation time (Sabine & Eyring) from your room and surfaces, with target ranges by use-case.

Room Mode Calculator

Find the standing-wave frequencies your room dimensions create, spot problem clusters, and rate your room ratio.

Porous Absorber Calculator New

Predict the absorption coefficient and NRC of the panel you are about to build, from its thickness, material and air gap.

Material Absorption Database

Sourced octave-band absorption coefficients for 60 materials — searchable, with CSV download.

Why another acoustics site?

Most "how many panels do I need?" calculators are run by companies that sell panels, and most reverberation tools are single-purpose pages from the early 2000s. We built one coherent toolkit that uses a single room model, shows its formulas openly on the methodology page, and cites every absorption figure in the material database.

Per-material deep dives

Sourced octave-band data and honest, myth-busting notes for the materials people ask about most — each pulled straight from the absorption database:
